Corporate Circle

Life comes one full circle always.

  • We throw tantrums and are immature in understanding while we were kids and we reach the same state in more or less same manner in old age.
  • We spend a fortune of time in gathering assets before which we are penniless and then in difficult times we write off whatever possible, sell the assets and make sure we are debt free or file for bankruptcy or penniless and reach back where we started.
  • We begin as single, find some one, procreate and when the kids leave us for better or worse and if one of the is no more the other one comes back being single again.
  • We begin with people pushing us up towards an aspiration of a qualification or career, we do pretty well amidst the corporate jungle and jerks, reach to the top, find ourselves alone or find many trying to pull us down eventually our qualification or experience is so saturated that we end up being an individual who wanted to be part of team but now a consultant with his skills that are in least demand.
  • We have a quest for traveling many places, trek or tour and finally in old age the biggest journey turns out to be from bedroom to bathroom, many times with no travel.

Just heard about Jet Airways cutting jobs. I think it is the same phenomena with our so called Economy and Corporate Houses. First they germinate a new Industry with full, partial or no support from Government. They show lots of dreams to young minds in the event generating many cottage or secondary service industry along with the primary one. The there are hypes of people being hired from the best lot from the best institutes or colleges etc. Then comes my favorite “futile educated” clan who have nothing more to do but ogle at Laptops and High Salaries where in productivity brought by the smallest employee, but some how they take credit for being the leader, the MBAs. If these MBAs are ever taught to become leaders or create jobs, why then in the certain Economic downslide(perhaps brought by consumers – who they created or government – whom they pay taxes) are into Job Cuts. So the circle of MBAs’ or Managers’ or the Board’s responsibilities is to create jobs & then cut jobs. I wonder what Managers actually learn, whether they go to a business school or not. Corporate arena is always not knowing where it goes but sadly all of us rely on them. I wonder how pre-industrialization things were.
